Berlin never ceases to amaze me with its endless fascinating art, music, and food scene. LAMIFA combines all three. The restaurant has recently opened inside of the stunning Anomalie Art Club in Prenzlauer Berg. LAMIFA stands for family and connecting each other, and in this case the magic happens around a table of impeccably plated cuisine with a French and modern European flare. The menu is ever changing with the seasons and uses local products focusing on vegetarian dishes filled with high quality produce and bold colors. The large industrial restaurant is wonderfully decorated with brilliant touches of color, fabrics, lighting, and carefully curated details down to the antique silverware. I got to hang out in the kitchen with chef Stephane Fano and learned about the ideas behind his creations along with the detailed process of how he prepares them. The dishes are masterpieces with an emphasis on truffles matched with robust vegetables layered in savory sauces and edible flowers- making each dish one of a kind.

The Anomalie Art Club was once a car repair shop which has turned into an alternative art and music haven. The powerhouse was dreamed up by 4 siblings, who are half German half French and combined their love for music, art, gourmet cuisine, and sustainability all in one hub. By day you can hang out in the beer garden and admire various exhibits and by night you can dine in the upscale restaurant followed by attending events in the multiple room techno/house club.
